Honduras Orphans update

UPDATES IN HONDURAS
A Brief Update on New IMI Orphans
Two year old Mariel Lopez Gomez and her six month old baby brother
are two of the most recent arrivals at our IMI orphanage. These children
were rescued from an abusive home. Mariel is so protective of her little
brother that she refers to him as her baby. Like a mother, she is always
worried about his safety. A particularly touching moment occurred recently
when the young boy was taken to his doctor’s appointment. Mariel was
concerned about him, she cried and persistently asked where her baby was.
After his doctor’s appointment, the six month old was greeted with tight hugs
and comfort from his adoring sister. Fortunately, Mariel has grown to trust our
workers, especially Delcy. Delcy has taken the time to let Mariel know that
she and her brother are safe and loved. Mariel now runs to Delcy who she
calls her mommy. This story has also touched Delcy’s heart who thanks
God for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children.
